The Nashville Predators have taken a 2-0 series lead over the Colorado Avalanche with their 5-4 win earlier today.
Nashville found themselves down 1-0 early again, but were able to score three goals in the second period to lead 3-2 going into the third.
The Predators took a 4-2 lead, however the Avalanche fought back making it 4-3 before Nashville burried an empty net goal to take a comfortable 5-3 lead with just over a minute remaining.
Colorado did make it interesting scoring with just thirty seconds left, but the Predators were able to run out the remaining time to take a 2-0 series lead.
The Predators got goals from five different players, Kevin Fiala, Viktor Arvidsson, Ryan Johansen, Austin Watson, and Ryan Hartman.
After two games down, Nashville is clearly the better team of the two, although the eighth seeded Avalanche have not made it easy for the Predators.
With Nashville taking a 2-0 lead in the series, Colorado faces an incredibly important game three Monday night at 10:00 PM ET in Colorado.
