The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed veteran big man Kendrick Perkins to complete their roster for the playoffs. Perkins won a championship with the Boston Celtics in 2008 and has reached the finals with OKC, and Cleveland in 2015.
Returning to the NBA has been a goal of Perkins’, but the Cavs stated that they are mostly signing him for his experience and locker room presence, rather than for his play.
The last time he played in the NBA was during the 2015-2016 season where he played 37 games for the New Orleans Pelicans. He averaged 2.8 points and 3.5 rebounds during that stretch.
