The Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees have the best history in baseball, and arguably in all of sports. Next season it appears as though they may add another milestone to their rich past.
According to a report from the Associated Press, the teams are set to play a series on June 29-30 in 2019.

The games will be held in London’s Olympic Stadium, which was used in the 2012 Olympics. It is unclear as to which team would be designated as the home team, though it has been reported that the Red Coats, I mean Sox, has the option of being home for both of the games.
As part of the current collective bargaining agreement, each player involved in the game would be compensated $60,000.
This is the next step in Major League Baseball going international as the Yankees played a two-game series in 2004 as their season opener against Tampa Bay in Tokyo, Japan. This year there are games set to be played in San Juan and Monterrey, Mexico.
