A few injury plagued seasons will change any players perspective on the game. Danny Woodhead is one of those guys.
This offseason he has been linked to the Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots. Instead of signing a new contract, he has decided to hang up his cleats for good.
Woodhead spent three years in New England and four in San Diego, where he cemented himself as a productive, small and agile receiving back. He was almost criminally underrated for the nine year duration of his career.
For his career he played in 101 games, and rushed the ball 517 times for 2,238 yards and 15 touchdowns. In the pass game he had 300 receptions for 2,698 yards and 17 touchdowns.
