Toronto Maple Leafs Center Auston Matthews has not seen game action since suffering a shoulder injury against the New York Islanders on February 22nd.
Matthews was able to return to the team practice today, however he was wearing a no contact jersey.
Head Coach Mike Babcock stated that the young star will most likely not play against Pittsburgh in their next game Saturday night.
For now, all Matthews can do is continue to heal and hope for a return shortly.
Without Matthews, the Maple Leafs have appeared to hit a rough patch, as they have lost the last four games in a row, including a 5-3 loss to the Buffalo Sabres.
Hopefully Matthews will be able to find his way back into the lineup as the playoffs quickly approach.
